This scheme, which is open to holders of a Primary Medical Certificate (from the HSE), allows for the deduction of VRT, and VAT if applicable, from the price of any new or used vehicle purchased in Ireland. There are maximum amounts claimable (as a combination of VAT & VRT or as either element on its own) which are €10,000.00 for a Disabled Driver and €16,000.00 for a Disabled Passenger.
