Honda Accord (03 - 08)

With this generation of the Accord, Honda decided to give it a whole new look. It now had the look of a more up-market, sportier car. They ditched the popular hatchback in favour of a bigger, more spacious saloon. The cabin was also re-vamped, it’s now larger, well-built and bursting with standard equipment. In terms of driving, the Accord carries all of the good points that its predecessor had, the fantastic handling, the good fuel economy and decent ride quality. Plus there’s an option of Electronic stability control for improved grip with the petrol engines. There aren’t a lot of options available when selecting an engine; a 2.0-litre and 2.4-litre petrol, and a 2.2-litre diesel. Each engine pushing out 155bhp, 190bhp, and 140bhp respectively. In terms of fuel economy, the two petrols return around 35 and 32 miles to the gallon respectively, while the diesel returns a more impressive 51 miles to the gallon.
