Replacing the outgoing 3 Series Coupe, the 4 Series carries on all of its traditional strengths and then some. Competing with the Audi A5, BMW got it spot on with their mixture of sportiness, style, elegance and refinement. It matches its competitors blow for blow. Because of this, BMW say it’s no longer just a slightly less practical, more desirable variant of the saloon, but a completely rebranded model in its own right. It now has its own identity and appeal, so it’s almost a certainty that it will be followed by touring, convertible, and M4 versions. Like all BMW cars, the 4 series Coupe has a great looking cabin. Everything feels robust, well-built and high quality, while the central console really steals the show. Laden with the latest technology, everything is very user-friendly. It’s not just a great looking car, it’s fantastic to drive too. With its new drivetrain and suspension components, it’s as comfortable a drive as you’re likely to get. And good fun too.
