Suzuki SX4 (06 - 14)

It’s not exactly what you would call orthodox or predictable but the SX4 works. It is a fusion of an SUV and 4x4, with similar looks to the latest Swift. Crucially it means you can tap into ‘4x4’ at the press of a button but without having to spend a fortune on the technology that normally gives you that. There’s a nice amount of space in the cabin, which can easily seat up to five. There is a big boot and the seating system is quite versatile. You can increase storage capacity by folding down the rear-most seats. There’s a generous amount of standard kit in the comfortable cabin. Behind the wheel is where the SX4 really impresses. It can drive nearly anywhere. It feels smooth and comfortable on the road, with excellent handling and light steering, and is competent and assured off-road. The agile chassis makes it fun to drive no matter what surface it’s on.
